26.2

Training for my 1/2 marathon taught me so, so much. I learned so much about myself, about hard work and about accomplishment. I loved training for my 1/2 because I was so focused. I knew that the hard work was worth it because it would enable me to acheive something so great and important to me.
Since my 1/2, I've been 'goal-less' in a way, not working towards any specific goal, except, of course to just be awesome. I miss the drive and energy that my training had this fall, and I'm ready to get some zeal back!

As I mentioned the other day, I'm super excited to announce my new training plan..............
Marathon here I come!!

Since my 1/2 marathon, I have been flirting with the idea of running a marathon, but I didn't want to feel pressured. In a lot of ways, it just felt like 'the next step' for me as a runner, but I was pretty overwhelmed by the idea of trying to attempt such a huge accomplishment. I wanted to give myself space to run it when I was ready, not when I felt like I was supposed to.
But- if your dreams don't scare you- you aren't dreaming big enough!!
I got bit by the bug big time during the month of December! I suppose it didn't help that I've been reading a ton of blogs with first-time marathoners who either crossed the finish line in the last six weeks, or will cross the finish line very soon.
I am ready to train hard and run my tail off!

I will be running the Garmin Marathon In the Land of Oz on April 20th!
